Woodville vs Pollock Central
A message from Coach Carrell: I just wanted to take the time this morning to invite everyone out tonight to watch your Lady Eagles and Eagles take on Pollok Central tonight at the Summit starting with the JV girls team at 5 followed by the varsity girls and lastly the varsity boys. If the girls win tonight they will lock up the District Championship and the boys are a game above P. Central for a playoff spot so it's a big one for both. Let's try to pack the gym out for the guys and girls who have been working hard. The games will also be broadcasted live on SetxSports Facebook page, so even if you can't come out; you can watch all the action online live.

Although Ahmyria Staten is a new student to our Woodville High School campus, that has not stopped her from being a strong leader in the classroom. Ahmyria has worked extremely hard in all her classes, making excellent grades and shows all of her teachers a very strong work ethic each and everyday. She is very attentive, shows respect to all and is a great example for her Freshman peers. We are very proud to Honor Ahmyria Staten as our Student of the Week! Ahmyria was nominated by English Teacher Lara Robinson.

Our Student Council started the 2018 holiday season with a bang. Our annual canned food drive collected 1506 cans, from the community. Without the help of our great students, faculty and community none of this would’ve been possible. It should be noted that all donations were given to the Caring is Sharing program who stated, “This is a record high number and you should be very proud of all of those involved in the WHS Student Council Organization.” --Hallee Hughes
