Congratulations to Jennifer Kiel, December's Employee of the Month!
Mrs. Kiel always does things to bring our staff toghether. She organized our Thanksgiving and Christmas luncheons, the Ugly Sweater contest and volunteered to drive students to a UIL contest! We are very blessed to have Mrs. Kiel at WHS!!



Help us congratulate Jaydee Borel who was selected as Student of the Week earlier this year!!
Congratulations to Jaydee Borel, Woodville High School Student of the Week for the first week of December. Jaydee is a junior who is a student council officer, a member of NHS, and the Cross Country Team. She will represent WHS at state at the UIL Congressional Debate competition in January. Jaydee’s teachers recognize her as a bright, hardworking and assertive student who seeks to positively influence the climate of the school.

Congratulations to sophomore Devonte Hadnot, Woodville High School’s Student of the Week. Devonte plays football and runs track for the Eagles. His teachers describe him as quiet and an excellent worker. Devonte always sets a positive example for his fellow students by being a good citizen with a positive attitude. His favorite person to spend time with is his dad who encourages him to always give his best effort.


Thank you, Mrs. Meysembourg, for inviting our NHS officers to the school board meeting tonight! We followed it up with a great Christmas party!

Logan Tullos is this week’s WHS Student of the Week. Logan is a senior who is National Honor Society Vice President, President of the Spanish Honor Society, A district and regional qualifier in tennis and a member of the 2019-2020 Yearbook staff. Logan was nominated by counselor Emily Bryan who recognized Logan’s initiative in helping other students in his college algebra class get the necessary assistance for success. Logan went above and beyond his own needs to help other students and the class as a whole. WHS applauds Logan’s leadership and his contributions.

Congratulations to WHS Band students Zander Duckworth and Qays Syed!
They earned spots in the ATSSB All-Region Band at auditions this past Saturday at Hardin-Jefferson High School.
They will participate in the concert with the All Region band at Silsbee High School in January.
Zander and Qays also placed high enough to earn a spot at the ATSSB Area auditions in Tyler. These tryouts will determine the membership in the Texas All-State Band which meets in San Antonio.

Congratulations to Payton Flannery who is Woodville High School’s Student of the Week. Payton is a junior who is involved in numerous school activities. This year she has started the WHS Eagles for Christ. Payton is the Vice President of WHS FFA and is a member of HOSA and the National Honor Society. She is a three-year student council member and will serve as president this year. She was recently elected as Junior Class Historian. Payton always has a smile on her face and is willing to help. She was nominated by her English teacher, Mrs. D’Entremont.
