Today's Senior SPOTLIGHT 🥎🥎#3 Telia Jackson🥎🥎 Walk up song - Fast by Juice WRLD 📽Favorite Movie: My favorite movie would have to be Ratatouille. Because it’s about this rat who loves to cook but has to go through so many obstacles that finally allowed him to do what he loved and it compares to the society today. ✏️Favorite Quote: T.E.A.M is my favorite quote which mean , Together Everyone Achieves More. It’s a true quote and without a team there’s no sports that can be played. 💪🏾Favorite Professional Athlete: Chloe Jackson is my favorite female basketball player . She’s my role model and she showed me and many others that you can be great but you’re just gonna have to work a litter harder than everyone else. 🕰 🥎 How Long Have I Played Softball: I’ve played softball since T-ball but I stopped playing after being hit in the ankle. I tried sparkling my season back up as a sophomore in high school and I don’t regret it! ❤️Favorite Part of the Game: My favorite part of the game is when we water the field on Game Day. I’ve always found it cool because no other sport that I play does that. So to be able to witness that as a player is pretty cool. And I love beating on the bucket when we’re batting. I love getting the dugout crunk and litty..😎 😩Favorite Memory: My favorite memory about softball is when we had a game against Corrigan last year and our coach , Coach M, got into it with the umpire and she had to sit in the dugout for the rest of the game. She was still talking after he sat her down. 🥺What you’ll miss the most: I will definitely miss dressing out with my teammates on Game Day and just being hype the whole day and then putting on my game face when the lights come on. Game Days are the best during high school and that’s something I will love forever. 🎓Plans after Graduation: I plan on continuing to play ball in college which is decided but I’m not saying where I’m going until I sign. I also plan on getting my degree in criminal justice so I can become a Homicide Detective. 👶🏾👶🏻Advice to Young Players: To play every possession or inning of the games you’re playing. Never take any plays off and to go hard every play because every play counts. And to also start and finish the whole game. Give it your all no matter if you’re winning or losing. We 💛 you, Telia! 🦅

Today's SENIOR SPOTLIGHT 🥎🥎Captain #8 Kendal Wilroy🥎🥎 🎶🎶Walk-up song: HARD LOVE by NEEDTOBREATHE 🎥Fav Movie: It’s hard to pick just one, but I would have to say “Hocus Pocus”. And yes, I watch it all year round. 🎃 📝 Fav Quote: “Let your faith be bigger than your fears.” ⭐️ Fav Athlete: My favorite professional athlete is Jose Altuve. He plays with heart and has great work ethic. 🥎🥎 How Long Have I Played Softball? I started playing when I was old enough to play T-ball and haven’t stopped since. 🎂🥎 Fav Memory: My favorite memory has to be when we beat New Waverly in the first round of playoffs on my 16th birthday. I knocked in the tying run and we went on to win 7-6. 🥎🥎 What You’ll Miss the Most: I will definitely miss getting to play this awesome sport with my best friends the most. Even though we disagree sometimes and get mad at each other for not doing something right, I still love each and every one of my teammates, and will miss playing this game with them so much. 👩🏼‍🎓 Plans After Graduation: After graduating (if I still get to do that) I plan on attending Texas A&M University to pursue a degree in Biomedical Science. 👵🏼👵🏼 Advice to Younger Players: Well, this current situation has taught me to never take anything for granted. Always play every game like it could be your last. We 💛 you, Kendal! 🦅

TO BE CLEAR Here is how to turn in completed work... If your teacher has asked you to share work through a class Remind or through Google (Drive, Docs, Classroom) then please do that. Otherwise you can... **Take a picture and send it to your teacher. **Scan it and send it to your teacher. **Turn in paper packets at the High School, Admin or feeding locations. Turn in completed work as you finish it! If you have been given a due date by your teacher that is fine. If not, turn it in as you go! Please do not hold all of your work until we return to school! Hope that helps clear things up! As during a regular school day you have different teachers with different expetcations. As during a regular school day, teachers are being held accountable for communicating with you and giving feedback. WE can do this, it just looks different!!

FROM COACH DIGGLES With so much going on right now, and a lot of uncertainty if things will go back to normal our senior softball players have lost an important part of their season. A great group of leaders that come in each day ready to work and get better. This is a group that was coming together and really understanding what it is to have a team and playing for the person next to you. Willing to sacrifice themselves for the betterment of the team. Playing with intensity, passion, focus and all the “Little Things” that were leading to our success. It’s a lot going on that is taking everyone from their normal routines, I’m hoping this Senior Spotlight will bring a little light in. 🥎Our SENIOR SPOTLIGHT for today 🥎🥎Captain #5 Reagan Smith🥎🥎 🎶🎶 Walk-Up Song- Sum to prove “I’ll never be last” 🎥 Fav Movie: I love almost every movie I watch, but if I had to pick a favorite it would have to be “home”, 10 out of 10 recommend:) 📝 Fav Quote: “Those who leave everything in God’s hands, will eventually see God’s hands in everything.” ⭐️ Fav Professional Athlete: My favorite professional athlete would have to be Alex Bregman. He’s determined to win & is great at what he does. 🥎🥎🥎How Long Have I Played Softball? I started playing softball when I was old enough for T-ball. Those were the days:) 🥎🥎🥎Fav Part of the Game: My favorite part of the game has to be when you're playing a tough team & you finally get the lead at the end of the game to win. The intensity is up, your adrenaline is pumping, everyone’s yelling & beating on anything we can find, & we are playing a great game to the best of our ability. Those games will NEVER get old. 💃 🎤 My Fav Memory: My favorite memory has gotta be on the bus on the way home from our Hemphill game, Dove gave us all a dancing/ singing concert. I cried laughing 🥎🥎🥎What You’ll Miss the Most: I’ll definitely miss the practices the most. Some were fun & some were straight hell, but after a bad day at school or even a good day at school, being on that field is the best way anyone could finish their day. 🏫 Plans After Graduation: Well if Miss Corona lets us graduate, I plan on attending Angelina College to continue my softball career & work towards a major in elementary school education:) 👵🏼👵🏼Advice to Younger Players: My advice to younger players would be to make every second count. Every practice, every bus ride, every win, & every loss. None of us seniors ever imagined having our year taken away from us so quickly, but it happened, and it could happen to anyone. Play every game like your butts on fire. & play every game like it’s your last. We 💛💛 you, Reagan!! 🦅
