Texas, remember the importance of social distancing. If you must go out, avoid public spaces and keep your distance from others (at least 6 feet). If we continue to follow valuable public health guidance, fewer of our friends & family will be affected by COVID-19. #StayHomeTexas
Daily Health Message #COVID19 lives on droplets in the lungs of people with the virus, even if they don’t have symptoms. When infected people breath, the virus enters the air. If you can’t #StayHome, wear a mask/scarf/bandana, stay 6 feet apart, and wash your hands. #DontGoViral
Today's SENIOR SPOTLIGHT
🥎🥎 #11 Mackenzie Robinson🥎🥎
Walk up Song - Party Up by DMX
🎥 Favorite movie:
I don't really have a favorite because I can watch anything but horror movies. I tend to enjoy cartoons or animated movies.
📝 Favorite quote:
"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."
🏀 Favorite professional athlete:
Crissa "Ace" Jackson. She is one of the women who play on the Harlem Globetrotters. She motivates me to make a difference even if I don't have a choice.
🥎 How long have I played softball:
I first played T-ball baseball then moved over to softball the next year. And have been ever since.
🥎 Favorite part of the game:
I don't really have a favorite part because every game is different and every outlook is different. I enjoy playing when I can and the adrenaline that runs through my veins when I step foot on the feild.
🤔 Favorite Memory:
The only thing I could think of was when we were playing a game where we were losing and all we did was make jokes to keep our spirits up and just kept the game going.
🥺What you will miss the most:
I'm gonna miss joking around with the team and the feeling of being sore after a hard workout. And I'm definitely gonna miss putting on that uniform and making memories with every single one of my teammates.
⚜️🎓 Plans after graduation:
I plan on going to Lamar University to major in Nursing and minor in forensic science. I will soon follow into medical school and pursue my career into pediatric oncology.
👶Advice to younger players:
"Don't let the fear of striking out, keep you from playing the game." There's no other way to say it. Certain things might not go the way you want it to but keep doing what you love and soon things will follow. Don't just give up after 1 failure, you're just one step closer to a success.
We 💛 you, Mackenzie! 🦅
Please see attached flyer with updated emergency feeding site information, effective 4-6-2020.
