I understand there is some confusion with the message that went out earlier. To clarify, weather permitting, Woodville ISD will have a delayed start tomorrow at 9:15am. Staff will arrive at 9:00. Buses will pick up two hours later than usual which will have them arriving at school by 9:15am. We will continue to monitor weather and road conditions and will make a final call no later than 7:30am should we need to cancel for safety reasons. Thank you.

At this time Woodville ISD is planning a delayed start tomorrow, Friday, May 3rd. Buses will run 2 hours later than normal; school will start at 9:15. There will be a grab and go breakfast available for students. This will give us time to evaluate overnight weather and road conditions. Staff will need to report no later than 9:00 a.m. If it becomes necessary to cancel school, a decision will be made no later than 7:30 a.m.

After consulting with Emergency Management and area Superintendents, Woodville ISD will release at 9:30 this morning to ensure our students and staff are able to get home safely. Based on the earlier forecast, we had hoped we could have school until early afternoon, but the weather is unpredictable. This decision is being made after seeing the predicted continued severe rainfall for today. We will continue monitoring the situation and will advise via emergency alert and social media on what to expect for tomorrows schedule.

Good morning. Woodville ISD is monitoring the weather and roads. It's definitely an unusual storm season this year. An early release will be called if needed to ensure that students and staff can get home safely. Should this occur, a notification will be sent via our emergency notification system, social media, and our website.
