Woodville ISD has been notified about concerns regarding a social media posting that has gone viral and is causing anxiety among our students, staff, and parents. This posting actually originated in Ohio on Wednesday and is being handled by law enforcement there. It is completely unrelated to Woodville ISD.
We appreciate those who called and reported this concern as we take the safety of our students and staff seriously. We encourage anyone with knowledge about threats, whether they are credible or not, to immediately inform campus administrators or law enforcement. It takes all of us working together to ensure the safety of our students and staff.

In prior years, Woodville ISD and its nursing staff have administered over-the-counter medications with parent/guardian written consent. The Texas Board of Nursing has released new guidance to school nurses regarding this practice. Over-the-counter medications supplied by a student's parent/guardian will no longer be administered by Woodville ISD's nursing staff without a LICENSED PHYSICIAN written authorization as well the parent/guardian written authorization.

We are on the home stretch - finishing the 2023-2024 school year. We are happy to report that TEA has approved the waivers we submitted for the missed time due to all the bad weather we have had. WE DO NOT HAVE TO MAKE UP ANY MINUTES/DAYS. We will finish the school year exactly as our current calendar reflects. We will dismiss Thursday, May 23rd at 1:00 pm.

Woodville ISD is canceling school today due to power outages and flooding. Stay safe.

Due to this afternoon's severe rain and flooding, Woodville ISD will have a two hour delay in the morning to give us time to evaluate road conditions, buses will run two hours later than normal. School will start at 10, staff will report at 9. No breakfast will be served.

Monday afternoon, board members, administrators and Woodville Elementary School staff had the opportunity to sign a massive support beam that will be installed in the school. The signatures will serve as a visible reminder of some of those that were able to be a part of this memorable event in our school's history.
