We at Woodville ISD are aware of the concerns over the recent increase in COVID cases around the area. News media are reporting school closures across the state due to the surge in cases and staff shortages. While we have seen a small increase in positive cases reported by staff and students, we currently are not being significantly impacted. We are at the “Green” COVID Status Level(see attached)with attendance remaining above 90% and active cases ranging between 1% and 5%. In an effort to be proactive, we will have all WISD facilities sanitized and disinfected over the upcoming holiday weekend; this is in addition to our standard cleaning protocols and this will be continued on a regular basis. We encourage everyone to take steps to protect themselves and those around them by thorough handwashing, using hand sanitizer, stay home if sick and masking (if desired).
