WISD High School Senior Payton Flannery was recognized at the Woodville ISD Board of Trustees meeting on Monday night. Payton was awarded the 2020 Student Heroes Award for State Board of Education (SBOE) District 7. This prestigious award was given to only 15 students statewide in recognition of acts of kindness, charity and selfless service toward others. Presenting the award is SBOE District 7 representative Matt Robinson. As a member of the State Board of Education, Robinson represents Brazoria, Chambers, Galveston, Hardin, Jasper, Jefferson, Liberty, Newton, Orange, Sabine, San Augustine, Tyler counties, as well as parts of Fort Bend County.
